Malibu House, Malibu, CA 2008 - 2010
A 40,000 sq.ft. single family home designed by Tadao Ando. wHY served as Architect of Record for this project and my involvement began during the construction administration phase. As project architect, I focused on exterior enclosure detail which involved coordination with the Ando design office, the contractor, and the structural engineer.
The Speed Art Museum, Louisville, KY 2009 - 2010
As project manager for this major expansion to the Speed Art Museum, I collaborated on design ideas and helped to develop the project through the completion of schematic design by working closely with the client, design engineers, and the local architect.

Various projects
Developed perceptual and material studies for a glass fin facade, cable-suspended glass screen, and cantilevering steel and glass windscreens. Transmittance, reflectivity, perspectival anamorphosis, and moiré phenomena were explored in parallel with structural performance. Presented design work to the client, Land Securities, the largest development contractor in London.

Israel Museum expansion, Jerusalem
Created and coordinated consistent construction document detailing languages for various systems including fabric shade canopies, stairs, glass guardrails, entrances, and translucent skylights. Presented design proposals to the client, the Director of the Israel Museum (former director of MOMA New York City).

A 10,000 sq.ft. single family custom home. As one of three project architects, I focused on the design and execution of the building envelope which included wood siding and various glazing systems. In addition to being responsible for coordination of the MEP scope, I presented design schemes to the client's representative on a weekly basis.
Apple Computer Flagship Retail Stores 2001 - 2003
As part of the design team for the Apple stores, I prepared schematic and design development presentations for review with the client. Once the conceptual design was solidified, I concentrated on the development and execution of the stainless steel and glass specialties. I also managed interactions with project engineer, fabricator, and contractor, and worked at each location to review progress and resolve details.
SoHo, New York City 10 months
Glass staircase with stainless-steel fittings that resulted in a U.S. Patent. Glass bridge using structural glass for floor support and guardrails. 70 ft. long skylight constructed of 8x12 ft. glass panels, supported by stainless-steel frames with kingpost and tension rods. (flickr photos)
