stairs and bridges of structural glass

Apple Computer Flagship Stores: New York, Chicago, Tokyo   Bohlin Cywinski Jackson Architects (2001-2003)

Visually minimal structural glass detailing in these stores aimed to reinforce the openness of the spatial light slot. Intense collaboration with engineers and fabricators led to the invention of a new method for structurally joining horizontal and vertical laminated glass. (Much of the work i was involved with has been much more thouroughly described on ifoAppleStore's website.)
